The family of the late satirical comic artist, Ben Wicks, donated over 2,500 of his work to York University. Ben died 10 years ago, and is remembered for his appearances on television and for his work in newspapers. Wicks was noted for his lightning drawing skills. According to spiltink.com, the issue was clouded for a time by a legal dispute between Ben's surviving family and the person who found his work in a plastic garbage bag.
The story of this donation in 2009 can be found on the spiltink blog. Please click here.
